BROOK'S COOL BABIES

DAY TWELVE

December 17, 1998

Playing King of the Mountain

The babys' body hair is clearly metamorphosing from felt to actual fur. They are doing more scratching, face rubbing and squeaking than ever before. They are rats now, not little pink fingers. They move around like crazy.

You can tell they want to be near each other all the time. When one strays from the pack, it'll find its way back real quick. Their eyes should be popping open anytime. They are conscious now of their existance. It's apparent in how they act: more like little animals, rather than newborns.

Since they can't really see yet, they spend most of their time sleeping, or trying to get to the bottom of the pile. It will be hard to break them up when the time comes. The one at the top of the photo is one of the ones I will be keeping (Dusty) and the other one to the right of the photo is possibly the other. I love that little white dot he has on his forehead.

This is Dusty "running" around. It almost looks like he can see here.

Yeah. More sleeping. You can almost hear the snoring through all these pictures of them sleeping. I say let them sleep now. As soon as their eyes open, they're going to be all over the place!

Did I mention they like to sleep?
